• Today I updated my WP to 4.1.1. and the NextGenGallery Plugin to 2.0.79
Unfortunately there are some essential functions not working. I cant add an album to a page because after choosing an album the display type area is completley empty. Nothing happens!!
Tried to do it in latest chrome and firefox version.

    “Please correct the following:
    display_type should be present
    Invalid display type”

I also get following error in wordpress:
Warning: Cannot set memory_limit above master value of 96M (tried to set -1) in /var/www/web778/html/michael2/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/non_pope/class.photocrati_cache.php on line 90

Would be great to offer a solution!
    Thx a lot

@michael – If this is a memory limit issue you may need to work with your web hosting service to get that raised on your site.

What are you seeing under Gallery > Overview for your Server Settings?

@michael – Thanks … the Upload and Post limits are a bit low but should be fine, otherwise those settings look fine.

Do you see the same issue if you temporarily switch to a default WordPress Twenty series theme?

I’m using already twenty twelve at the latest version. But I tried to check it with twenty fifteen, too. No success!

If I implement a gallery on a page it works fine. Just the album is not working.

I guess there is a fundamental problem with the display type. If I choose any of them, they appear twice and I can’t enable all (I know just one is possible), I mean I can choose just type A, B or C, but not D, E or F

Could you please have a look in your code? I don’t think the problem is the server setting.

    thx, Michael

@michael – If this was a general issue with the code this would not be working anywhere which is not the case so I suspect there is some sort of conflict on your site … have you tried following the steps outlined in this article: http://codex.wordpress.org/Managing_Plugins#Troubleshooting

    Thanks!

I tried to deactivate all other plugins and at least the plugin self. Activate just the nextGEN gallery. Now I can set a display type. But If I choose an album (with basic thumnails it works) it links to page self… not to the photos in album. all other display types are still not working.

@michael – Can you provide a link to the page where this is happening so we can get a first-hand look at the problem(s)?

    Thanks!

sure… it is http://www.michaelwoth.de/fotoalbum-2015 and all other previous years

@michael – Are you using the “Link to page” option for your galleries and/or albums?

I don’t think so. But I have no idea, sorry. The current albums are included like this: [album id=10 template=compact]

@michael – Have you tried using the IGW (“green button”) in the TinyMCE editor to insert your albums rather than a NextGEN Legacy shortcode you are showing.

    – Cais.

    Thread Starter Michael

    (@woody217)

yes of course I tried to use the embedding with the green button for NextGEN Gallery.
The shortcode was just an example for showing you the current implemntation which I did with the previuos version of NextGEN Gallery

@michael – Please send us a Bug Report (http://nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we can get a better look at this under the page.

We will likely need log in (and FTP) credentials for your WordPress installation as well, please include those with your Bug Report, too.

    Thanks!

    – Cais.
