Scroll Disappeared

My website has a scroll on the home page. It has a picture and to the right arrows and a description.

I was trying to see if I could get rid of the right side and just have a large scrolling picture. I went to my theme in appearances, then went to theme options. In there I clicked layout settings and then on the single post layout tab i disabled Show Comments in single photo post & Show Comments in single blog post.

This made my scroller blank on the homepage. When I reenabled it, it stayed the same. Not sure what to do to get it back to at least how it was before.
