I am updating a site for an organization, and after updating the plugins, apparently one had a “fatal error,” and the site will not come up at all, so I have absolutely no clue on even how to fix it because the dashboard is not visible.

Here is the message it says when the site address is typed in:

“Warning: require_once(/home/aacfoundation/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-salesforce/inc/kwsaddon.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/aacfoundation/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-salesforce/salesforce.php on line 68

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/aacfoundation/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-salesforce/inc/kwsaddon.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/aacfoundation/public_html/wp-content/plugins/gravity-forms-salesforce/salesforce.php on line 68″

    Here is a link: aacfoundation.com

Please help, this is really terrifying for me and this is not even my site. I am usually able to fix most of these problems myself, but I have no clue on even where to start here. Any help is appreciated so much! I am panicking a little bit.

No need to panic yet. 😉

If you can’t access your admin pages, you’ll need to use an FTP client (like FileZilla), or your host’s cpanel (or File Manager) and navigate to the files on the server.

In your WP installation there, find wp-content/plugins and rename the ‘gravity forms salesforce’ plugin folder to something like gravity-forms-salesforce-hold. That will disable it and hopefully allow you to get back into WP admin.

Thank you, that is super helpful! The only problem is that this is not my own site, I’m doing external work on it for the organization. Is there a way for me to fix it without direct access to the server, or would I need to talk to the host about fixing it?

Without access to the dashboard, I’m afraid you’ll need access to the plugin on the server one way or another. The host can disable it for you, but you’ll need to prove to them that you have authority for access to the site.

You’re welcome! Go ahead and mark this resolved if you think this thread is finished, but certainly post back again if you need anything else. Good luck.
