Petfinder is down at the moment…. Error Code

Good morning,

I am trying to use the Petfinder List plugin for a website I am in the process of building (http://www.thepitandthepug.com/DARL/)and am getting the following error message after puting [shelter_list] in the page’s content.

Petfinder is down at the moment. Please check back shortly.
Error Code returned:

I have entered my API Key and Petfinder ID MA500. I am using a shared Bluehost account with a sub directory for this site. I also tried adding:

allow_url_fopen =1
allow_url_include = 1

to the php.ini file (which I saw another user suggest on this board) but that did not help. I am not an experienced web designer or programmer but I’d appreciate any help you can offer.

Hi – Could you contact me through the contact form on my website: http://www.unboxinteractive.com/contact/ — I can see your listings through the XML returned for your shelter ID. I’d like to get the API key you are using to test that.

I’m having the exact same issue. http://sandbox.northmeckanimalrescue.org/adopt/

I have set everything up and it doesn’t work. I get an error 999 and Petfinder is down. Is there a solution to this?

Hi,

If you can give me your petfinder ID, I’ll check if you have your petfinder settings set correctly. The petfinder ID should be your state abbreviation followed by a number.

Thanks for your help. Having issues with the hosting company. I tested this plugin on another client’s hosting company and it works fine. Moving the site now. Thanks again for your help. Love the plugin!!
