I just updated to the newest version of WP Import and after trying to load in an xml file, it just kept spinning and spinning the preloader at the top and would not work.

I tried clearing out the cache and everything, still nothing.

I decided to try to upload it on my site using IE instead of chrome and it worked just fine.

Any idea what that issue could be or how to fix it. I really hate using IE but I will for now until i can figure out how to make it work properly using chrome.

I have reverted back to an older version. Even after uploading onto IE, once i got to the final step and confirmed, it returned with a white screen.

Version 3.4.1 seems to work the best and had better features IMHO, I wish the changes that were made were not so drastic. Everything was easier then.

After a third attempt, because I do not feel like worrying about getting hacked, I tried it using firefox, and it worked. Everything worked. So to recap.

When I use this in chrome and I load my xml, i just get the loading spinner at the top and it does nothing.

When I use it in IE, I get to the final step, then once i hit confirm, it returns with a white screen.

When I use it in Firefox it works perfectly.

I still prefer to use Chrome over everything else so maybe there is a fix for this?

But using firefox for this purpose will work for now, atleast I do not have to bother with IE.

We personally use chrome as our go to go browser, and we are not getting this same behavior you describe. Could you send us the login details for your website to our support email so that we can look into the issue on your server?

If you want to stay at version 3.x contact us at the support email and we can provide the patched version for that line, so that you can stay secure while using the plugin.
