Trackback Spam

    In the discussion settings of my WP admin I have this box unchecked, “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)”, but yet I am getting lots of pingback and trackback spam. Is there another way to stop this type of spam.

    Used by millions, Akismet is quite possibly the best way in the world to protect your blog from comment and trackback spam. It keeps your site protected from spam even while you sleep.

    Thanks. The Akismet site shows Akismet is connected with VaultPress. I already use VaultPress. Those guys are top notch. My experience with VaultPress makes it a no brainer to get Akismet to, especially since the two can be package together for a discounted fee :-).
