Hi, have you tried background position x and background position y? You can find these options in the background section of the slide options.

Thanks, fabiorino. Yes I have but it´s not clear to me which values (px? %? center?) are accepted (do I find documentation for that somewhere?). I tried some but I can´t see any change, neither visually nor in source (should this be reflected in the top/left values? Whatever I use, it isn´t…). Maybe I´m just trying the wrong things….
What kind of settings would you suggest to have a background position similar to “center” (50%) for y?
The accepted values are px, center or any other css value. You should see the changes directly in the live preview. To inspect the problem more accurately, can you send me a screenshot of your current slider and slide settings? Send me your background image too (fabiorino@outlook.com).

It turned out it was actually a browser-related problem. The only browser the background-position setting doesn´t work with for the moment is Firefox it seems. But this can be bypassed by adding background-position: center center; (or similar) in the CSS field for the single slides until it is fixed with a future update.
Thanks, Fabio, for all the great support you offered, much appreciated!
