We have tested the option and it works just fine. Please make sure that after editing the .po file, you have also transferred the automatically generated .mo file back to your site. This might be your issue. Thank you.
Sorry, i missed it.
I used Poedit to edit .po file and forgot to upload auto generated .mo file. It works perfectly now.
Just another question is can we have separate validation message for each filed. Like we have — is requied. Instead of it, i wanted to have separate message for each field. Like i have a phone number field on form and i want to show “Please enter your phone number for call back”.
Is it possible?

There is an option called Value if Empty. Here you can provide the text you want the user to se in advance to filling out the field.
