• My site now has a number of static pages, however the main front page and the ‘news’ section I want to interrogate the WP database and show the results.

Everytime I put the PHP code in to run into a loop, the MCE editor reformats it and I can’t run any code!

Is there a ‘hack’ or some proper way of doing this? I’ve download the RunPHP plugin but that doesn’t seem to do anything either!

  • 1. You can never use PHP code in the content area of a post or Page.
    2. You can never put any kind of code in the wysiwyg monster… Don’t even try!
    3. There are more plugins for running PHP in Pages and posts, some are compatible with the latest WP, other are not. But even with the plugin you just don’t put code in wysiwyg. If you know PHP and you khave your own code – you shouldn’t need that idiotic thing… Coders should disable, delete, remove tinymce.

What alternative can I use for tinymce then?

Does anyone have any further info on how I can put my blog posts onto my static pages please? I’m hoping to go live shortly and could really do with some help on this.

    Many thanks,

Take a look at the link below…I haven’t used it…just found it a few weeks ago and bookmarked it, but haven’t had time to download and evaluate it yet.

Thanks for the link ekusteve, that’s exactly what I’m using, but unfortunately I’m using TinyMCE as the page editor as I don’t know any other alternatives. Is there an advanced editor that allows me to put PHP in the pages or something similar?

Here is the solution for 9 months of nothing.. I just did it. It’s the initial version but works.

    I will improve it tomorrow.

    Download it: http://wysiwyg-php.sniffer.net/

My PuTTY bash prompt Theme page http://elite4putty.sniffer.net and my webpage http://www.sniffer.net/
