After installing wp-security-audit-log version 1.4.1, on wordpress 4.1, I checked the database, and could not find the tables:
    wp_wsal_metadata
    wp_wsal_occurrences
However, the table wp_sitemeta has some new entries with prefix wsal-.

The web pages: Audit Log Viewer, Settings, and Enable/Disable Alerts appear to work fine, although Audit Log Viewer page just shows “No events so far”.

  • HI p.dirac,

It seems like it is a privileges issue. Can you please confirm that the database user has the privileges to create new tables in the WordPress database?

At the moment it seems that it can only read / write / modify data in the database but not alter the database structure.

Yes, the database user also has privileges to create, drop, alter tables.

Did you try to deactivate and activate the plugin? It seems that in some cases the settings database is not being created on the first activation though the second activation solves the issue.

Yes, I tried to deactivate and activate the plugin, but still no tables created. I’m about to try installing version 1.5.0.

Yes please, install version 1.5.0 and let us know how it goes.

Still no tables after installing version 1.5.0, and after deactivating and activating the plugin.

Would it be possible to enable debug for a few seconds to finds out if something is going wrong? You can:

    1. Disable the plugin
    2. Enable debug
    3. Enabled the plugin
    4. Disable the plugin

Send us over the logs. You can send them to support@wpwhitesecurity.com

I just sent the debug log.

    Hello p.dirac,

We just released version 1.5.1 which addresses this issue. Can you please update the plugin?

Thank you very much and do not hesitate to get in touch in case of further queries.
