@jackbuzzi – When you insert the display via the IGW (“green button”) in the TinyMCE editor make sure to turn on the option of “Add hidden images” this will put all of the gallery images into the Lightbox effect.

@jackbuzzi – We bundle the current Lightbox Effects libraries with NextGEN Gallery as a convenience, have you tried the other options and/or a third-party Lightbox library that may do what you are looking for?

@jackbuzzi – Although I am not really familiar with that Lightbox library/effect I would expect you could use it under Gallery > Other Options > Lightbox Effects … Custom.
Just fill in each of the fields with the relevant details.
