Hello,
You should re-generate your slider if you want to make any changes.
Thank you, how do I re-generate it?
Save the WOWSlider project file(.wowsl) after creating a slider in the WOWSlider application. Then if you want to make any changes you can open this project file, edit it and publish again.
Thank you for your reply,
hmmm… is there a video or tutorial anywhere?
So
1- I create a slider using the Software.
2 – I save it “Slider1.wowsl”
3 – I go to “WOW Slider” in WordPress
There is no “replace” for any sliders
4 – I “Add New” Slider and upload “Slider1.wowsl”
But now id goes from 5 to 6, how do i “update id 5 without “adding a new slider” and going to id 6?
Can I replace the “.wowsl” file in server Cpannel to keep the same id?
You can add a slider to your page using another shortcode:
[wowslider title=”title”].
Set the ‘Slider title’ by going Slider–>Properties–>Slider title
If you want to update your slider make the slider with the same title, add it to WordPress, then move your old slider to bin.
this is good to know,
but i am still worried about the “id” number getting too high if i keep uploading new sliders,
i know how to update the slider, but it always has higher “id” number….
why when i delete slider with “id number 5”, then i upload a new slider, it says “id number 6” …. why not replace 5? because 5 is deleted.
Ok….
so i thought maybe to save the number of “id’s” building up too fast, ill just put more adverts into 1 rotator, and display that 1 rotator on multiple places on 1 page
But if i do this, they all get messed up and mixed up, one had duplicated text, another had no text, you can’t display the same rotator on more that 1 position on 1 page?
Unfortunately you’ll have to use new slider with another ID number. Otherwise the sliders will be mixed up and look incorrectly.
