I’m using the free Pinnacle theme, and it seems to be having issues with event plugins. So far, when the events plugin is activated, I cannot add any items to my menu or widgets to my sidebars. I also can’t add items to my woocommerce cart on the front end of the site. The loading icon just sits and spins and never does anything. (This is the same for Chrome, IE, and Firefox)

Right now, I have The Events Calendar from Modern Tribe installed, but it did this with several other event plugins as well. I activated twenty fourteen while the events plugin was activated and was able to add items to menus, sidebars, cart, etc. without a problem. So, I’m led to believe the issue is with the theme.

Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

  • Hey,
I’ve just gone through and tested with the event plugin. I can’t seem to recreate the error. Everything is working on my server. I can see on yours your getting an admin-ajax error.

Can you make sure everything is up to date and your using the latest wordpress. Can you check other plugins make sure it’s not a conflict on a conflict.

Can you test by turning off the w3 total cache too?

I think it was just a conflict on top of a conflict. I deactivated w3 cache and it fixed the problem. Thank you.

Just in case this happens to anyone else – The issue was completely resolved when I deactivated Jetpack. I could activate my events plugin and w3 total cache and everything worked fine.
