WordPress.ORG does not sell anything – is your site on WordPress.COM?
https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Yes, I purchase the domain from WordPress.com
I also posted my question in WordPress.com/support, but they asked me to ask on WordPress.org
Are you using WordPress.COM to host your site? IF so, support is on those forums.
If you want to use the self-hosted version (that would be here), you need to set up (and pay for) hosting, and install WP. You can use the domain name you registered with WP.COM – you just need to set the nameservers to your hosting company.
Yes I purchased the domain and the website is hosted by WordPress.
I downloaded the WordPress install package, and try following it, but have no idea how to install so that I can have admin panel and install plugins etc
You cannot use any plugins on WordPress.COM – read the above comparison of .COM and .ORG. and also see:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/
You also do not install anything if you are using WordPress.COM.
Ohhhhh okkkk. Didn’t know WordPress.com cannot have custom plugins and stuff.
Thanks a lot
No problem – it’s a common confusion :)! You’re welcome and just post a new thread if you have more questions.
BTW, if you want to use that domain name, here’s where to change the nameservers –

Thanks for your help again. So I just read more about the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Right now my site host and the domain is purchased from WordPress.com. WordPress.org has all the custom themes, plugins etc, and I believe that’s what I would prefer more. I wonder is it possible to switch to WordPress.org from .com, and keep the domain name etc.

I read this post, I wonder if this valid.
Sorry for all the questions, I have done hardware and mobile programming, but never did web developing.
Thanks again.
Yep, lots of people move from WP.COM to a self-hosted WP.ORG site. See also:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-org
I was trying to follow the transfer guild but I have some issues.
So I exported my current webpage to XML file, then purchased the basic plan from BlueHost with the domain name: trackieprofile.com.
I changed the domain server on WordPress.com to ns1.BlueHost.com and ns2.BlueHost.com
Then I press then “Install WordPress” icon, and it took me to MOJO Marketplace. I select “http://track is profile.com” as the installation directory. I just named it TrackieProfile, and set a username and password.
After the installation, I try to login trackieprofile.com/wp-admin with the new password, but I couldn’t login.
Does anyone know what did I missed?
Thanks
If you just changed those nameservers, that’s likely the problem – it can take from several hours to a couple of days for DNS changes to fully propagate. Usually it’s only a few hours. So try it again in a while.
Oh okkkk. Thanks I will try again in a few hours.
Ahhhhh! It just worked! I can login with the password I just created, and I can see the “Plugins” and stuff. So am have I completed the transfer from WordPress.com to WordPress.org?
