Add sidebar to dynamic front page

    Hi I’m using Simply Read theme (https://wordpress.org/themes/simply-read/) and I want to add twitter feed to the right hand side of the front page. What’s the best way of doing this?
    I tried to use a plugin to add a sidebar but they seem to only work on pages and not the front page
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Where is the Portfolio page in this theme? I am looking for a way to disable the slider on the home page from being clickable. In other words, on the front page, I just want the slider seen and not interacted with. If there’s a Portfolio Page that does this, can you please tell me where it is. Thanks.
