Hi there,
The Banner sections are designed to go full-width. If you’re using smaller images, a better solution would be to use the Gallery Sliders in the Columns sections.
I hope that helps!

Thank you for taking the time to respond, Melissa.
This is still a problem because full sized images are cut off and cropped. I am frustrated with the lack of control over my images which is important as a photographer.
Also, the images are as-is. Clicking on them does not blow them up to a larger size so the viewer is stuck with a small image or a gigantic one.
I love so many things about this theme but if I were to change anything- it would be:
– More control over image sizes in the sliders and gallery
-Ability to insert photo previews, and meta data for SEO so that websites can properly scrape my pages to share with social media.
With so many WP templates out there specifically for photographers and designers I cant justify spending $199 on a template that limits me to this extent.
Hey there,
Lightbox support is a request we’ve had before. We’ve had users add this functionality to the Gallery section with a lightbox plugin. Within the Gallery sections, you can also configure the aspect ratio to portrait, landscape, square, or none — and for best results, all the images in a Gallery section should be the same size when you upload them.
Again, the Banner section is for full-width image banners and slides and wasn’t designed to display smaller images. For that, we’ve added support for the Gallery Sliders (that you would insert in a Columns section).

We recommend (and love!) WordPress SEO by Yoast for this. We couldn’t do SEO better than that! You’ll also want to make sure you add alt titles and descriptions to every image you upload in the WordPress media library.

We totally understand if Make is not for everyone! We have some great themes in our collection specifically for photographers also. Also, just for clarification, Make Plus is $99.
Let us know if you have any other questions about Make’s features or if you have ideas for future releases. We really do appreciate your feedback!
