How do I add code to a WordPress page?

    I don’t understand the codex article at all and I can’t understand the other forum posts about it. I am a complete noob to coding and WordPress, and I have no idea how to do this. I’m just trying to add my featured products to my homepage with WooCommerce, but I can’t just the shortcode to work. Please give me an easy to understand, complete noob guide on how to do this.

    IMPORTANT EDIT: I purchased WordPress Hosting through GoDaddy so I think the control panel is a bit different, I’m unsure though. I created a brand new site from it.

    Shortcodes generally work by placing the [shortcode] into the page or post. can you be more specific about what you are trying that isn’t working?

    The hosting control panel won’t have anything to do with this.

    Wait, hold on, for some reason it decided to work today…

    Yesterday I added the shortcode and it stretched the featured product, and the whole thing was yellow. Now it works fine…

    Thanks for your help anyways, Ben. I guess it was something with WordPress.

    Could have been a caching issue, I suppose.
