Password troubles

I’m having trouble. I just installed WordPress successfully and changed my password for site admin, however now it is not working. I tried having wordpress email me a replacement password and got this:

Password: (random passw0rd)
Login at: http://www.frolic.org/wordpress/wp-login.php
Why is there no user name/ what should I use for my user name??
