I have tried creating a page called Home and making it the template Front Page, but I can’t change the permalink.
The homepage has no slug/permalink it’s always at the root of your site: http://www.christine-gjelstrup.dk
Be sure to assign the front-page template to your homepage in the Page Attributes box if you’d like your site to look like the Harmonic demo here. Right now it’s using the default page template.
Check out the Harmonic front-page setup guide if you need further guidance or let me know if you get stuck again.
Thank you so much for your help! It worked, but now the only problem is, that I can’t get a picture on my homepage. Its static, but the picture is missing, even though I put it on the page. The guide is great, but the customize options such as news and page is missing in my customize.
Did you decide to switch to another theme? Let me know if you still need help with this.
Same problem here. The customize option are not there and confusing. Example “Visibility” what is that? All of those Hide toggles don’t do anything that I can See. Are you supposed to set the static home page to something special? And the post page too?
Adding photos in the customizer doesn’t work for most sections. Only a few. Is this compatible with WP 4.2.2?
Thanks
dchapple – I’m going to help you in the new thread you started here:

I had a Home Page. It used to let me edit the slider pictures on the page. It has all gone poof! Theme: Nano. Yes, I tried making my front page—it then brought up my Home page, but still couldn’t find my slider to edit.
I tried Posts. I tried Widgets. I tried every thing. Poof!
Hi Brookside, you said:
… Theme: Nano…
This thread is about the theme Harmonic.
Hi Brookside – Nano looks like a premium theme from ThemeForest, so you’ll need to get help from the developer through their support system:
