Mistake in the title the icon is not changing
I am having the same issue….no icons showing for file types.

Hi, after my last update I too am experiencing this problem. Icons were previously displaying fine but now what I’m assuming to be the default icon is showing regardless of choice. see http://www.olphrc.org/media-room/publications/ as an example

This is not a new problem, but looks like somehow you guys got Shaons attention with this one finally. This problem was brought up over a month ago here….

The funny thing about this bug is I figured out a workaround, all you have to do it simply not assign an icon and the plugin will pick the correct icon for you. If you have already assigned an icon simply clear out the link to the icon file in the icon menu and update the package and it will also assign the right icon.
I am not sure if this will work for everyone but it’s worth a try I think. For me the workaround is to ensure that the icon path is exactly
download-manager/file-type-icons/docx.png
Just delete the stuff that comes before it …changing the extension to whatever you require, of course.
The problem for me was that once you chose your icon, it would populate as
http://yourdomain.com/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/file-type-icons/docx.png
which seems to break it for me, even though navigating to that URL does show an image which is strange.
we will figure it within short time.
