appearance>widgets not working. widgets on site not working.

Bear with me guys. I’m not as tech savvy as I probably should be.

So I’m using a prophoto theme with my wordpress site. the last month or so I cannot seem to be able to edit my widgets (from the dashboard) at all. After clicking appearance>widgets I’m directed to a blank page with a small uploading form at the top left. The widgets on my front/home page are no longer linking to the blog posts or showing post information (title, etc) like they typically would and now my mobile site has gone bizzerk.

I’ve contacted both bluehost and the developers of the theme I’m using. bluehost seemed to find an error in the code, so I’m waiting to hear back from the developers. but would that explain not being able to edit the widgets in general? I’ve deactivated all plug-ins for the time being just until I can figure out whats going on and fix it.

any ideas? HAAALP, I’m deperate.
