album from another directory

    I want to display an array of thumbnails of pictures stored in a directory on my website, but not the wordpress directory. When the user clicks on a thumbnail the full resolution picture opens to be downloaded.

    I have installed NextGen but I don’t see where to tell it to get the pictures from another directory.

    @jimstuhmiller – You would have to ensure that you set the NextGEN Gallery Import Folder to allow for you to import from these folders than import the images into NextGEN Gallery. Once there you will be able use them like any other gallery in NextGEN Gallery.

    Set the NGG_IMPORT_ROOT constant in your wp-config.php to the appropriate folder path above where you want to import from and you should be good to go.
