Hi,

I will like to know what is the best approach to add a newsletter subscription textbox with a button? The newsletter subscription will be based on an email address. And it should contain a textbox and a button.

Thanks for your reply.
Not sure, but this looks more for generating and sending newsletters.
I want the users to subscribe thru a textbox.
Example: [Subscribe to our newsletter:] [email textbox] [submit button]
The email subscription should go to my email for example. Or to a table in the database. I will be placing the textbox and button at the footer of the page.

Ah, okay, so you need a subscription plugin – see if any of these will do what you want.

why not use feedburner? you can use the text(html) widget to display it on sidebar like on the footer sidebar
