Gallery reordering

Is there a way to drag and drop more than one slide at a time in a gallery?
Is the Add Media – create gallery a basic function of WordPress, i.e., not done by a plugin?
I’m trying to create a gallery of all the buildings in a street and I would like them in the order as seen walking down the street. There are over 50 images. When I upload them they do not necessarily upload in the correct order, they are often in two blocks, e.g., “middle to end”, followed by “start to middle”. I need to drag the “start to middle” to the start in one action not by one image at a time. If it was a one off I would do that, but my intention is to have a series of galleries of the same street over about 15 years, and there is a North and South side, doing them one at a time would be a tad tedious!
I have a similar help request for the Meta Slider plugin.
I have searched the forum but have not found specific answers.
