• Hi everyone,

I used Fantastico to install WordPress. However, I recently decided to move my blog (which I had not yet started) from mydomain/blog to mydomain. So I deleted all the WordPress files, went back into Fantastico and tried to install WordPress again in the root. However It would not let me. So I looked through the list of WordPress installations in my Fantastico account area and saw that my blog was still there. So I uninstalled it (which is what I should have done to start with). Now it is gone from the list but I am still unable to install a new set of WordPress files using Fantastico. It tells me that their are still scripts installed.

Is there something that I am missing? Would it cause a problem if I just installed WordPress again manually (without Fantastico)?

    Thanks.

These are the exact words it gives me when I try to install in Fantastico (in cPanel):

    Install WordPress (2/3)

The installation can not be completed:

    – You cannot install more than one script in the root directory of a domain.

Click on the browser’s Back button to fix reported errors.

Me too.. facing the same problem.. could some one help? any idea how to solve the problem?

I’m in the same boat. Lots of people are offering help…including a link to this thread…but I don’t see the way clear and notice that nobody has answered this.

I really question using a program that is this hard to get rid of and doesn’t have uninstall built into it and ready at hand.

In my Fantastico, Current Installations is None. I’m getting the same message even after deleting my index.php…
