    Hi,
    We’ve updated to Securi v1.7.6.

I just updated a post, and when I clicked Update, the page blanked with this error:

Sucuri: Something went wrong with an API call (send_log action): Connection timed out after 20001 milliseconds

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/…/wp-content/plugins/sucuri-scanner/sucuri.php:6109) in /home/…/wp-admin/post.php on line 233

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/…/wp-content/plugins/sucuri-scanner/sucuri.php:6109) in /home/…/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1178

I was able to get back to the website, and found that the update had been made. Just thought I should let you know about this.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for reporting this. This error is generated because the connection between your website and the API service that powers the plugin is failing, according to the message the reason is a timeout after twenty seconds.

This is a temporary error that will be fixed automatically, but if you continue seeing this message after some hours then you can try to increase the timeout limit using an option located in the “General Settings” panel from the plugin’ settings page. The option is named “API request timeout”, you can increase it to ninety which is one minute and a half.
