WordPress site timing out from mobile devices

    Hey all, hope you can help as this is driving me nuts!

    Since about Friday last week (around the time I upgraded to 4.1.1) my site has been timing out for anyone attempting to visit via mobile device.

    From desktop it loads fine, from mobile device I get a lot of waiting and a “server not responding” error. If I’m using Chrome mobile and select “request desktop site” it will load.

    I’ve tried switching to a different theme, deactivating all plugins and re-installing WordPress 4.1.1, all with no luck.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

    hey there

    i just tested via my nexus 4 and it seemed to be working. i did get a timeout trying to load the homepage, then i tried to load the ladder page from a google link and it succeeded, then i was able to navigate to home.

    Hey! Thanks for your response.

    Last night I backed up my SQL database, uninstalled & reinstalled wordpress, reinstalled the theme and restored the SQL … not sure what in all that fixed it, but it seems to be working (for now, at least… touch wood!)
