How to restore my site

    how can i restore my hockey clubs website??
    i got this message come up last week and the site is now inaccessible… help urgently needed please.

    You need to contact your web hosting provider.
    Temporarily, you can login to wordpress admin dashboard and change the theme and see if it works.

    You’ll need to use FTP or Cpanel (ask your hosts how to use those) to access the site files on the server directly – and rename that theme’s folder here:

    wp-content
     themes
         ascent.HOLD

    I have contacted my host and they have informed me that they don’t support WordPress.

    I am trying to contact the person who set up the website originally, but to no avail.

    Any other suggestions. .

    Where is the site hosted? They should be able to give you info about using FTP or Cpanel to access your site files on the server – that’s not specific to WP.

    would i right in thinking if i can not get this resolved i would have to produce a new website?

    I guess so but I certainly wouldn’t jump to that conclusion – but where is your site hosted ? Who do you pay for hosting your site?

    So ask them how to access your site using FTP. See also:

    i have contacted the company and they tell me that they only provide the webspace needed. they have no admin links to the website…

    this is getting ridiculous now..

    any advice on how to undo the mess would be greatly received

    any help on getting this issue solved would be most welcome.. our site has been down for months now – and our host does not support WP!
