I’m going to guess probably not– that the API only goes one direction, that is, over to CTCT.

It’s really not a big deal if someone submits an identical email address. Constant Contact will allow only one contact per email address, and manage any duplications for you.

    Hi Bet,
I need to determine if the person has already been added to the database because I want to prevent them from filling in their email address again and getting the coupon again over and over on the thank you page.

They cannot bookmark the page because I have javascript that says only show image of coupon when they get referred from the signup page.

Any ideas how i might be able to make sure they have not al5ready subscribed?

This might not work if you are talking about thousands and thousands of users (depending on your hosting environment, this might slow down your site), and it wouldn’t work with this plugin, but I think I might use Gravity Forms (a paid plugin– you would need the developer license to get the user registration addon) to create the form, along with Katz’s other plugin “Gravity Forms Constant Contact”, and set up a form that creates a registered subscriber-level user, and WP already disallows any users with the same email address.

You could restrict the coupon page (or set it to come in an email) only when the user is actually registered as a subscriber.
