    Hi,
    I get the following message direktly on the first line when importing users “Missing or invalid Email address (); please try again.”

    When importing I have first exported all users so all headers shuld be correct. I have also in debugging purbose tried to minimize the data into the following

    “ID”,”user_email”
    “13”,”xxx@gmail.com” (fake but valid format)

    and it still fails.

    When I trie to update another single field with this
    “ID”,”meta_key__addr1″
    “13”,”street 2″ (fake again)

    I also get the same error message about missing email and now email isn’t involved at all!.

    This issue is very important for me as I want to import ouer member register with 100 members+ in excell and even if possible I don’t want to do it by hand.

    Regarding themes I’m using Twenty Fourteen.

    Please help

    Hi again,

    Update

    Now I also have tried the advanced import/export.
    The good news is that now my single user is imported and adress fields together with phone number is updated as well – good.

    The bad news is that instead of updating the users email it now erasing it.

    Update

    After some experiments with different editors for spreadsheet I found that Open Office was the one to use.

    For other users I will emphasize that it is important to choose

    Character set = UTF-8
    Language = appropriate local
    separated by = ,
    Other Options = Quoted field as text

    Then when opened select the entire sheet and format cells as text

    I hope this will help others with similar problems
