Custom Image With URL

Hello,
I am building my own custom product pages rather than using the WooCommerce store layout. I need to do this because my products are digital and I need things organized in a very specific way.

The only problem is I can’t figure out how to place an “add to cart” button on the page. I’ve tried using the short code but the button looks very different and it won’t redirect to the shopping cart page.

Ideally I would like to use a custom image. I found what I thought was my solution here:

However, once again it will not direct me to the cart page. Instead it only displays a blank page although it does appear to be adding the item to the cart.

Using http://yourproducturl.com/checkout/?add-to-cart=ID got me very close. All I really need is the link to set as the custom URL on my image. BUT it MUST redirect to the cart page.

How can I do this? If I have to edit code, what do I add and to what file under what folder?
