I just signed onto my dashboard and there are 3 notifications from WooCommerce. (see link below) They are present on every page that I would like to work on. I don’t know why I would need to update, as my installation is brand new. I am hesitant to do anything, since I have finally gotten everything just the way I want it. What do all of you think? Can I ignore them? Can I hide them?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hey,
Woocommerce kicked out another update. You can download the latest version of virtue here- https://wordpress.org/themes/download/virtue.2.4.0.zip
The new styles for woocommerce have been cleaned out so you’re safe to update.

Just to be clear so I don’t mess things up. I had made changes before I implemented a child theme. So, some customization was done before I started using the child theme. Will I lose those changes? And, where would I update from, virtue or the child theme?

Hey, If you made changes in the theme options you won’t lose them. Just activate a different theme, like the 2014 theme, Then remove the virtue parent theme. Leave the child alone. Then upload the new parent theme from the zip file and reactive your child theme.
