You need to identify the error. See https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-debug-issues-after-updates?replies=1 and check your server error log. You can also try activating with no other plugins active.
Tried that after deactivating all other plugins and only activating the WooCommerce one. Still same error is showing.
Then look at the server error log and tell me what error is there plz.
hello,
i also have this issue.
I have a clean installation of WordPress 4.1 with no other plugins installed. When i try to download and activate the plugin i am getting the same error.
I tried to activate the debug mode adding define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true ); in wp-config.php file with no results.
My installation details are:
PHP 5.5.9
MySQL 5.5.41
Apache mod_rewrite enebled
Thanks in advance
I am getting the same error like earlier: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4BmEpV1_Fa7bFBvOFV4ckdoMUU/edit?usp=drivesdk
But I have installed https://wordpress.org/plugins/debug-my-plugin/ plugin and now showing an error message as follows:
Notice: ob_end_flush(): failed to send buffer of zlib output compression (1) in /var/www/perthsolarwarehouse.com.au/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3269
Notice: ob_end_flush(): failed to send buffer of zlib output compression (1) in /var/www/perthsolarwarehouse.com.au/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3269
Can it be the issue? I am using Ubuntu VPS.
No.
Enable WP_DEBUG_LOG http://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG#WP_DEBUG_LOG Then check the error_log file it generates after activating. This will give you the correct error code.
[12-Feb-2015 14:17:21 UTC] PHP Notice: ob_end_flush(): failed to send buffer of zlib output compression (1) in /var/www/perthsolarwarehouse.com.au/public_html/wp-incl$
this is the exact error code it gets added when I click on activate every time.
I tried to activate them but neither WP_DEBUG_LOG nor WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY show me any results.
It doesnt create any log file in my installation directory.
@metadosis you should get a debug.log file in your /wp-content/ directory after you define the WP_DEBUG true in your wp-config.php file.
@sujan Thats a notice, not a fatal error. I don’t think it would be that. Sure there is nothing else logged after attempting to activate?
@mike it’s only showing bro. Same as earlier. I’ve just taken another screenshot of the error message: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4BmEpV1_Fa7aDZERF9KeEsyTzg/edit?usp=drivesdk
I see your screenshot, but it doesn’t actually output the fatal error. It’s blank..
If you have a server error log, check those (ask your host if you’re not sure where they are located).
My website in apache web server. Do you need my server error logs?
Just look inside them for fatal errors around the time you activated.
This is what I have got from my apache error log after trying to activate WooCommerce.
