Groups vs Single Priority
-
Hey,
I just want you to know, this is easily one of the three or four most important plugins I use (and I have over 110 active). I can’t thank you enough.
That said, I have some questions and feedback.
Please correct me if needed, but did I read that if I Globally disable 110 plugins, and then on a Single Post activate a ‘Group’ of 15 plugins, that the fact that the 15 plugins are NOT active Globally overrides my desire to activate those in the Group (via a single tickbox) for that Single Post?
That, if all Globally disabled, I must individually tick the plugins I want active for the Single Post? (e.g. Post overrides Global)?
If so, it makes it a little less user friendly than it could be. If I want a majority off Globally then on a Single Post I have to go through and manually tick each plugin that was Globally disabled that I want Post enabled – assuming I easily remember them. 🙂
Intuitively, maybe just for me, I would have thought that selecting a Group and turning it (and therefore the 15 plugins included in the Group) to ON, on that Single Post, would have done that.
I’m still figuring this all out, so feel free to drop some knowledge if there’s a better way to do that. I’d appreciate any guidance.
Speaking of ease of use, most of your users likely have lots of plugins. 🙂 With so many – it might be nice to have the Save button for Global Plugin as well as the Groups button section at the top of the meta box panel instead of the bottom (or even both like WordPress has on some admin pages). Since we are usually working with the enable/disable of Active plugins, and the Inactive ones are listed below the Active, the location towards the top (especially if you also have a LOT of disabled plugins – guilty here) might be nice. Not a big deal, just a user suggestion.
Thanks again.
