Changing Settings for Categories in Posts

Hi,

I’m trying to figure out if I can change some of my settings for Categories in Posts. I’m trying to change the background color for the posts in my website. However when I change the background color it also changes the color of the background color of my blog posts as well.

I ask this because in my menu two of the headers are from Categories. I can make this change no problem for the actual Blog and other Pages under the Page settings but can’t seem to do it for my pages that have headers that I pulled from Categories.
