photographs question

    Hi
    I am a complete WP novice.
    I have set up a site with a specific Themeforest photography theme and uploaded many photographs. I have submitted a sitemap to Google via the Yoast plugin. However it seems that Google does not see that there are any images on the site although it can see that there are many attachments. It will not index these attachments though. Is there anything I am doing wrong or anything I can do to help this along?

    are you giving your images alt text and titles? they help with SEO, tags too. also, be patient, google has trillions of pages indexed, you’re just in the queue!

    Thanks for your message Jack

    I have completed all the alt text , descriptions etc – but I’m confused as to why the sitemap summary does list the images although they are included as attachment pages in the sitemap itself?
