I get about 10 to 20 spam comments a day. I’m getting tired of the fact that I have to moderate this. Every day…tons of comments…there must be a way for WordPress to debug this.
I believe you can turn off email notification of spam comments.
They’ll get stored in akismet until you delete them.

I got this weird comment spam today (using akismet 2.0 on WP 2.2) – it doesn’t show up on the blog, but I got an email telling me about it. Is it something *dangerous* and do I need to worry about it?
