    Hello,
I am a member of a craftmasters guild. The association gives us a “badge” embed code that we can copy and put on our website.
The first I did it, it went OK.
Recently I transfered my site to a new host and I had a lot of trouble.
I re-built my site and now it’s working well.
but I have a problem with my badge code.

I kept a backup copy of that code in case……
So I did use my backup copy to re-install it on my Home page

Went in my home page/modification /text mode/ than I copied the code/ saved
The funny thing is I can see my badge if I go on the home page as long as I leave the page in text mode after I saved the modification….If I switch to visual mode (even if did save in text mode) I loose my badge and get a black rectangle…….If I go back to the page/modification/text…A part of the code is missing…..

    What could cause that?

  • Yep, switching between visual and text editors tends to corrupt or strip out code. So best to avoid doing that. It’s the way TinyMCE (the editor that WP uses) works.
