child theme references to multiple themes??

Just getting started trying to maintain a site done by others. Have updated WP to 4.1 and found a picture block (3 pictures) now overlap. The site has a child theme. When using Firefox to analyze the picture block it is based on the style-wpec.css file in a different theme folder than the one that the child theme links to. How is that possible? I have several theme folders with similar names that I have appended the version number to so I could revert them if the upgrade had issues. Child theme links to organico2_2_4 while the css for the image is organico2_2_2/style-wpec.css
