ngg_ir_Audio
-
I have a fresh install of WP and NextGEN gallery 2.0.66.37.
I created a gallery and can present it as a slideshow. I want to add audio to the slideshow so I added the custom field ngg_ir_Audio key to the page that contains the code for the gallery and provided as its value, the url to a mp3 file stored in my media library. No sound occurs.
I added the [audio] WP shortcode pointing to the mp3 and when accessing the page, the audio played.
Am I missing something, or is the ngg_ir_Audio custom field broken.
Thanks… Tom.

@airstreamer – We do not have specific uses of custom fields to provide any additional output for NextGEN Gallery. This may have worked due to another plugin or it may be something from NextGEN Legacy versions but it is not something from the current NextGEN Gallery.
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply. I thought that was the case. That, however, brings up two issues.
First, is there another method to play background music when viewing one of your galleries?
Second, you have a web page that defines values and usage for custom fields for your gallery.
http://www.nextgen-gallery.com/custom-fields/
There is no mention that these definitions no longer work. Perhaps you could place a statement at the start of the page that explains that the content applies to any version prior to n.nnn and was dropped with version n.nnn. That would save some folks from wandering down the wrong path and into the swamp.
Thanks… Tom.
@airstreamer – There are no current methods to add background music, and to the best of my knowledge all custom fields value pairs will only work with NextGEN Legacy (1.19.13 and earlier).
Thanks!
