Make "read more" text link to source?

    Hi,
    first of all, this plugin works really great. I have a question:

    I have a Blog page with all imported posts from the feed source. Now the title of the post is a hyperlink to the single article site. I don’t want to link to the single article but to the feed source site instead. How can I make the “read more” text link to the source on overview page as well? Now you can read this but it’s no link. Only when you go to single article you can click it. But I want this and maybe the title in overview page link to the source. If title is not possible I will remove the link but need “Read more” to ink to this site…

    Is this possible?

    Hello Christian,

    Thank you very much for reaching out, what you described with the Read more>> is not possible with rss post importer directly, you will have to do some custom tweaks to achieve that. You can add a permalink as stand-alone permalink and of course your “read more” , but the permalink’s anchor text is always the title of the article , not Read more.

    Hope this could clarify.

    You are welcome.

    Simply add: {$permalink} it will display the anchor linked to the source.

    Ok, where do I have to add this? I want link automatically be placed inside of my posts overview page directly after the excerpt.

    Yeah I allready watched this video. Strange thing is I have this template:

    {$excerpt:20}
    {$permalink}

    In my Blog Page I set up masonry layout. What I see is title and excerpt but no permalink. Only when I click on the title to read full post, I can see the permalink… I dont know how to add the permalink also to the overview page…?

    Ok I found a solution. WordPress suppresses hyerlink in excerpt. I had to add a custom function. Now it’s showing… Thanks for your help!
