Do you have FTP access to your host? or know how?
No, I don’t know how? Someone else built the site for me.
Is your site on a server with CPanel, if yes, is there a backup of the site?
I have no idea what a CPanel is? I don’t know of a backup. Is there a number or a way to get a hold of a technician at WordPress?
Everyone helping out here is a volunteer. And WordPress.org doesn’t have any backups or info about any site that happens to be using WordPress software.
Where is your site hosted?
Everyone helping out here is a volunteer – and no one here has any info about your site. Where is it hosted – i.e. who do you pay for hosting?
It’s hosted on godaddy. But I have called godaddy and the guy told me WordPress needed to resolve this issue. Basically, I just need to go back and undo hitting the update button.
There’s no such thing as undo an update.
There’s a problem on your site – but you should be able to fix it. Or you could ask GoDaddy to restore your site from a backup – they generally do have backups of sites.
You’ll need this:

Do you have that access set up?
My site was hosted on godaddy. I pay godaddy. But I use WordPress software. I called godaddy and a rep there said I needed to go through wordpress to resolve this matter. I basically need to go back into my platform and undo the update button I hit. When I hit Upgrade to 4.1, it said it couldn’t do it and then it wiped out my site.
I’m just trying to get back to my admin page on WordPress. I don’t know how to fix it from here
Yes, I’m aware of that – it will require learning some new things and accessing your site files via Cpanel (see the link above) and moving files around. And possibly some trial and error. If you aren’t able to do that, that’s okay, it’s not for everyone :).
In that case, I think your only options are to either call GoDaddy and ask if they can restore your site from a backup on their servers, or you could consider hiring someone to do this for you. We generally refer people here: http://jobs.wordpress.net/
Went to go daddy and they restored it. Thanks for the help.
Yay, glad to hear that. Just looked at your site and one more thing you should absolutely be aware of – your site is using WP 3.8.5 – which is now 3 major updates old. It’s also a major security risk to run an outdated version like that — your site is at a real risk of being hacked. That’s a huge mess that you really don’t want to have to deal with.
Because you are so far out of date, you can’t update all at once – probably why your site went down. You’d need to do a series of smaller updates.
Since I’m guessing that’s not something you want to take on, you really may want to hire someone to get this all up to date for you. In the long run, it will be money well spent :).
Just saying this because I’d hate to see you with a hacked site – and we see it all the time here.
