Try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.
If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
But i don’t understand why i would have to deactivate my plugins. this just started happening. i havent added any new plugins to my site, why would they be interfering now?
Plugins can do weird things. Deactivating them is standard troubleshooting. Same with switching to a default theme just to see if it’s a theme issue.
Well, I think that did the trick. It’s so strange. I reactivated all the plug-ins I had active before the problem, and the problem is gone. So I still don’t know what caused the issue.
Maybe it just needed to be kicked around a bit. 🙂
If it happens again, try deactivating the plugins one at a time until the problem is gone.
