    How can I pull the most recent 5 posts title and url for use on another site? Actually another section of my site that is not in the wordpress dir? I am looking for a way to have them update dynamically as they are added to wordpress.

    There is a plugin to update automatic using a RSS feed, I would recommend you look for this plugin, http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/.

    Can something like that be used to display the recent posts on an outside site? Or are they just for use in the sidebar? It seems to me that this is only for use on the sidebar of the local site…which is not what I am looking for.
