• For some reason, images on my page will NOT click through to the target custom URL. I see a spinning icon in the middle of the screen like it wants to open a gallery. But this shouldn’t be happening – I have a custom link set for the images.

The first images of potato chips are set to go to URLs, NOT to be seen as larger images.

I’ve noticed that this only occurs with one installed theme (the one I really like, too).

Is there any quick fix to this?

  • Where did you get that theme?

I haven’t looked too closely, but my first guess would be that there’s a JS conflict between the theme’s scripting and your own plugins.

I notice that (1) the theme has a built-in fancy box script for displaying full-size images and (2) you have a lightbox plugin for full-size images. Perhaps start by deactivating your lightbox plugin – and failing that, deactivate all of your plugins – to see whether that resolves the problem.

If it is this theme, https://wordpress.org/themes/amphion-lite you are going to need a new, supported theme.

Shutting down ALL plugins didn’t fix the problem while using Amphion-Lite. Switching to any other theme did work. Yep, Amphion Lite is the one I’m using. I sent support a question about it, hinting that I’d like to upgrade to the paid version of it. Messing around getting a new theme is not what I want to do…

Since this is a theme problem and not a WP problem I will be closing this thread.
