Remove Element Front page

    Hi all,

    First of all i have to tell you that I’m a complete inexpert beginner.

    I’m trying to disable a couple of elements in the front page of my website such as the search box.

    I tried disabling the widget in the section Main side bar but didn’t work…

    Any clue?

    Hi Tameto,
    which theme are you using. Normally the options like displaying/hiding search boxes can be controlled in the theme options.

    Try to go to Appearance->Customize and see if you find the options you are looking for

    I’m using twenty twelve.

    Actually in Customize>appearence>widgets>main side bar there were the widget i wanted to be disabled. i removed them but they are still there 🙁
