Because my free host limits a lot my space so I am not sure that it would be installed otherwise….

Why my stp mail server would not be set up ?
It was working OK 2 weeks ago,(I did received my test-message, in my spam section, but I did received them OK) than I got a WSOD after a tentative of update, I reinstalled my theme (manually) and all the rest works OK now.

Hi Lucieo2, if you’re able to send and receive email regularly, then the problem is likely a setting within your set-up. Try going to your DASHBOARD, select SETTINGS then click on GENERAL.Partway down the page you will see a place for email address. Verify that it is the email address that you wish to receive contact info from.

I do receive and send email each day without any problem (using Hotmail)
and I did received (my wordpress test-message) in my “spam section” 2 weeks ago before I had to reinstall manually my theme
I did also checked (on my site) my addres
-in the admin section
-in Dash bord/settings/general
-in Dash board/apparence/theme option/miscellaneous setting
my address is written OK
I do hesitate to install a another contact form (extension) because the space that my free host allowes me is limited…

Lucie, it looks like you’ve tried the most obvious possibilities. I would definitely try installing an alternative contact plugin. Gravity Forms has worked well for me in the past. Don’t worry about taking up space. They take up very little space and you can delete the first plugin that you tried. 🙂
lucie02, you could also contact your host and ask theme to check your php mail functions. If your hosting server isn’t offing you support then I advise you use the plugin from above and set your own mail server.
Else you can defiantly try a different contact form, they all use the same php mail function tho so I wouldn’t get too excited.
Any plugin can be added to the wordpress plugins folder though ftp.

I contacted my host….waiting for an answer…
If I install a new plugin for a contact form….
How do I delete my current contact form…..it was not a plugin, it was included with the theme. I had only to choose the model of page in the <attributs de la page and model>
Would I just “un-click” the contact model ?
Because if I have to “play” in the code….I’m done….

Just use a different page template or like you say just “un-click” the contact model.
