• Hi,

I recently installed this plugin and it uploaded a .doc great. I then tried another and the pictures did not import at all. The pictures in the first file and the second were inserted using the copy/paste of windows, and both appear to be PNG.

Just wondered if someone had experienced this problem.

    Otherwise, works really well!

    Hello David,

Thanks for the kind words! It’s likely that the pictures are included in the document in a way that Mammoth doesn’t yet support. If you could provide a document that has missing images when imported, then I can take a look and see whether it would be easy to fix or not.

    Thanks

    Michael

this is a word document. The first two images were done from a screen capture program that “grabbed them” then I just pasted in to word.

    These translate just fine.

The second two pictures were copied in a software program onto the Microsoft clipboard and pasted into word using paste.

These just show up as small generic picture icons.

I’ll delete the link once you let me know you receied it.

    Thanks for the awesome support!

Thanks for the file. It looks like those images are EMF images (whereas the ones that work are PNGs), and I’m not sure how practical it’s going to be to support them in JavaScript. I’ll take a proper look when I get a chance, but that might not be for a week or two.

Thanks – I thought it might have been a file format problem. I didn’t know how to see the picture format of the different graphics. I have a work around now that I know that is the problem. Thanks!

    Hello,

The quick fix is to CTRL-X and then right click where the image was “Paste Special” click on Picture not Microsoft or EMF.

It will import images just fine

    Cheers

    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for the great plugin.
I’m having an issue with images not importing as per this thread, so i’m hoping i’m not hijacking!

I have tried removing the images and re-inserting them into the word doc as .png as you mentioned above, but alas.. still no images.

Can you offer anything else to try please? Or is it poss to send you the .docx to see if you can see the issue within it?

    Thanks in advance

Do you get any warnings or other messages when you try importing? Feel free to send me a link to the document, and I’ll take a look when I can.

    H Michael,

    Thanks for your reply.
No, no warnings, just a perfect import of txt only 🙂
Do you have a way i can send you the docx privatly, it’s a clients doc, so don’t want ot post a link publicly.

    Thanks again in advance

Thanks for the document. I’ve added support for a few elements that were unsupported in the document you sent me. Could you try converting your document on the page below, and let me know if that works any better for you?

    Hi,

Have you noticed the plugin working on other browsers than IE11? Our IT group is moving everyone to IE11, and this plugin doesn’t seem to work in IE11 (but does work on Chrome, etc.). Is there a browser setting or something that will make it work?

Love this plugin, and really, really want to make it work for us! Thanks for your hard work.

(Just to clarify the above–the text comes in even in IE11, but the images don’t come in IE11).

Do you mean the images in the preview before you insert the HTML, or after trying to insert?

If you the former: if you try to insert the HTML despite not being able to see the images, can you then see the images in the generated post?

I can see the images in the preview:

    http://snag.gy/xpw3L.jpg

But they don’t show up in the post:

In the HTML view, you can see the code in the plugin box:

But in the post itself, it doesn’t show:
