• Hello,

This is my site http://3dprototypesandmodels.com.au/ and for a long time, the top left of the screen has that very large genesis framework logo. It appeared one day after updating wordpress, I didnt mind because it was small. Now though I was to update that main page and I really want a banner and to do that, I need that logo gone.

Can anyone here help me in locating the code/area where that logo is written so I can remove it and just have it blank there?

  • You’ll get the best answer from the people who made Genesis Framework, StudioPress.

    As explained here
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products
we are not equipped to help with Paid Themes, as we have no access to the source code.

    Thanks

But… I never paid for this theme, Im fairly sure I just downloaded and used it for free.

Where did you download it from?

Now that I remember (it was over 18 months ago) I paid someone to build my website, I just downloaded ‘themes’ for it.

But the thing was he built it entirely for free, I just paid the hosting and domain.

I have no idea how he may have gotten it to work, but I definitely didnt pay any money outside of the hosting and domain for it. He did say something about getting a commission from hosting it with a specific company, maybe they paid for it.

Okay, glad to hear it wasn’t from “someplace else” (i.e. an illegal copy – which unfortunately does happen) 🙂 ! The designer of your site would have purchased it from StudioPress. However, that doesn’t change the fact that these forums simply aren’t able to provide support for commercial (paid) themes – partly because we don’t have access to them (nor do we want it).

So your best best will be to contact StudioPress and ask about paying for help modifying the theme. Or you could go back to the original designer of your site.

Sorry we can’t help you more. Good luck!
