I have pages with different names for each language (4).
then I create the menu by adding a new page to the menu
the new item with the 4 different names appear with <!–:fr–> <!–:en–> <!–:nl–> <!–:de–>
and when I save the menu, the previous pages with translated items with <!–:fr–> <!–:en–> <!–:nl–> <!–:de–>disappear and only the default language appear on those items, last page remains with 4 languages.
so if i create the menu in one time, it can be ok, but I MUST not change anything by saving again, because the languages disappear on the secund saving
The same for an item created with an extern link ! il declare. <!–:fr–> nouveau label<!–:en–> new labell and so on for each language and all disappear when saving
the same for a widget with <!–:en–> type of shortcode, works with [:en] shortcode
I have already tried this, but it seem that my theme will not let me use the <!–:en–> or the [:en] methods!
However, I alredy fix my problem directly within the PHP and the .PO file. and it worked!
I literaly hardcoded my localised href in the .po file
I have the same problem too (WordPress 4.0 and mqTranslate 2.9.1.2).
I must roolback to:
– mqTranslate 2.9 version
– qTranslate slug 1.1.8 version.
Why?

hi
well, if you recreate the complete menu , and save ONCE, it works
but it is not enough, I agree because menus change regularly.
Same here.
It seems as the <!–:de–>Menü<!–:–><!–:en–>Menu<!–:–> ist translated in the menu editor. I. e. it shows either Menü or Menu depending of the language of the admin panel.
And if you save the menu, it doesn’t save the <!–:de–>Menü<!–:–><!–:en–>Menu<!–:–> … because that don’T show up at all … it saves Menü or Menu and the multilingual support for the menu os gone 🙁
ooops … just saw this one
“Qtranslate Slug:
This plugin requires at least WordPress 3.3 and either mqTranslate 2.6.2.4 (or newer) or qTranslate 2.5.8 (or newer)”
however i have mqtranslate 2.9.1.2 installed
lol … forget the last one … it only appears if I deactivate mqtranslate as a work-around
